This week Governor Baker faced off against Boston Mayor Marty Walsh in Roxbury at the annual Shamrock Shootout Tournament, addressed the 378th National Guard Muster in Salem, presented the Soldiers Medal to Capt. Stephen Fiola and Sgt. 1st Class Bernard Madore for their heroic actions during the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing, and joined Sheriff Lew Evangelidis for the swearing-in of the Worcester County Reserve Deputy Sheriffs.

Later in the week the Governor participated in One Boston Day events commemorating the 2nd anniversary of the Boston Marathon bombing, celebrated companies that chose to invest in Massachusetts with MassEcon, spoke alongside Boston Celtics great Cedric Maxwell and Boston Marathon legend Bill Rodgers for Prostate Cancer Awareness Day, and attended the Medal of Honor Character Development Program, a full day training session for educators.
