Last Thursday, Governor Charlie Baker traveled to Connecticut to meet with the other New England governors to discuss the energy needs of the region. Governor Baker also participated in a ceremony at the State House commemorating the 100th anniversary of the Armenian genocide. On Saturday, Governor Baker helped the Cedar Grove Little League in Dorchester kick off their season by throwing out the first pitch at Opening Day.

This week, Governor Baker, Lt. Governor Polito and Attorney General Healey participated in an Executive Order signing to re-launch the Governor’s Council on Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence. He also attended the reenactment of Martin Luther King, Jr.’s speech before the Massachusetts Legislature that happened 5o years ago. Finally, Governor Baker was joined by Secretary of the U.S. Health and Human Services Department Sylvia Burwell and Massachusetts HHS Secretary Marylou Sudders for a roundtable at Boston Medical Center on the opioid addiction epidemic.
