Today, Governor Patrick proclaimed that June is dairy month in Massachusetts! June Diary Month originated in 1937 as an annual tradition developed to celebrate the dairy industry and its many contributions to our society. In June and all year long, we want to recognize all of the positive contributions our Massachusetts dairy farmers have on local agriculture, working 365 days a year to take the best care of their animals, the land and their communities. June is a time when dairy farm families often open their farms to visitors for tours, while stores and other businesses feature delicious dairy products for customers to enjoy.
