Andrea Locke just started the Reading Regional Police Academy on June 4th previously serving as a Dispatcher for the town of Manchester By the Sea. At the annual MPTC First Responder Award Ceremony held on June 14, Locke was recognized for her participation in a call that resulted in saving the life of a town citizen. Through her quick response and calm demeanor during the call, she was able to direct other officers, including her husband, Det. Chris Locke, to the stricken victim where the officers were able to revive the individual. Since Andrea was unable to attend the formal ceremony due to her Academy attendance, Chief Ed Conley of the Manchester by the Sea Police Department and her husband made a special visit to the Reading Police Academy where her award was presented to her.
