Online Training with LaptopDespite our current state of emergency due to COVID-19, the Operational Services Division (OSD) Training team is still training and vendor attendance has exceeded expectations!

Understanding that in-person workshops and training courses are on pause during the stay-at-home advisory, the OSD Training team has been hard at work transitioning many of our vendor courses to an online format and continues to offer our regular curriculum of online classes.

We encourage you to review upcoming course offerings and sign up to attend. Clicking on the course links below will bring you to our enrollment sites where you may quickly register for training. Prior to the class, registrants will receive an email with details to access the webinar.

Monday, April 27, 2020, 9:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. – Demystifying the RFR: Understanding the Importance of the Request for Response

This course, modified from the in-person course, reviews and explains the Request for Response (the main document of a Bid Solicitation) and its link to goods and services procurement opportunities. In addition to gaining experience with relevant terminology, required forms, and RFR format, participants will review sample proposals from different procurement types.

This webinar takes participants through the process of locating and replying to Bids (Solicitations) in COMMBUYS. You will learn how to receive email notifications for contracting opportunities, actively search for bids within COMMBUYS, read a Bid opportunity, and create a quote responding to a COMMBUYS Bid. We will provide an overview of each step and follow up with a live demonstration.

Thursday, April 30, 2020, 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. – SDO Pre-Certification

This is a required workshop for all businesses interested in applying for certification as Minority, Woman, Portuguese, and/or Veteran Business Enterprises through the Supplier Diversity Office. The workshop will include information about the regulations, qualifications, and other guidance needed to begin the certification process.

Monday, May 4, 2020, 10:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. – Quarterly Report Overview

This one-hour webinar is intended for vendors who are on Statewide Contract. It provides an overview of the Administration Fee Quarterly Report. The goal of this webinar is to assist Statewide Contract vendors to better understand reporting requirements and to provide guidelines for compliance. Topics include report submission deadlines and a review of the payment process using the online portal.
