The Operational Services Division (OSD) invited vendors and purchasing agents from across the Commonwealth (and beyond) to “meet us at the Market Center” for the MASSbuys EXPO, which was held at the DCU Center in Worcester on April 30. This annual event, which celebrated its 17th anniversary in 2015, remains the largest G2B event in Massachusetts.

The 2015 MASSbuys EXPO welcomed 1,644 attendees, a record high for the event. When not exploring the exhibit hall to discover and meet with vendors, 819 participants attended workshops and panel discussions on topics ranging from green cleaning to time management to construction procurement law. Strategic Sourcing Leads, who manage Statewide Contracts, scheduled one-on-one sessions with vendors; this year, 81 meetings were held to discuss contract and procurement questions.

The EXPO hall featured booths from 359 Statewide Contract vendors who provided product and service demos to the buyers in attendance. New this year was the Small Business Center, where 14 certified vendors in the Small Business Purchasing Program (SBPP) were given the opportunity to exhibit.
