Bay State Bike Week 2016Now that Spring is here and winter weather is finally leaving us, it’s time to start thinking about Bay State Bike Week! Every May, Massachusetts residents and bike commuters come together to celebrate human-powered, two-wheeled transportation during Bay State Bike Week. This year, the week-long celebration will take place from May 14th- 22nd.

Throughout the Commonwealth, participants organize bike-centric events to encourage new riders and raise awareness about the many benefits of bicycle transportation, so make sure to register or join an event! Bay State Bike Week has something for all kinds of riders, whether you’re a newbie to biking or a seasoned cyclist!

I’m Ready to Participate! What’s Next?

Bay State Bike Week FileVisit www.BayStateBikeWeek.org to find an event in your community or to host an event. Can’t find an upcoming event close to you? That’s okay! We encourage you to check back regularly because events are added daily. Thinking about registering an event but don’t know what type of event to organize? That’s okay too- events can range from group bike rides to bike film festivals, from bike breakfasts to bike rodeos. The opportunities are endless.

We also want to remind you of the daily raffle prizes we give away during Bay State Bike Week. Make sure to sign up for a chance to win these prizes and learn how to get rewards all year long through NuRide!

All week, we encourage participants to share the Bay State Bike Week logo and to post and share your events on social media. You can find us on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter @BayStateBikeWk but don’t forget to use #BayStateBikeWk to help keep the message going! Happy Biking Bay Staters!
