EzPass Chelsea Signup 3, July 2013MassDOT’s E-ZPass Van crew members are visiting local communities this summer, providing drivers the opportunity to sign up on the spot for a free E-ZPass transponder.

This week the E-ZPass Van is in Revere:

Tuesday, July 23, 12pm-6pm, American Legion Field next to City Hall, 281 Broadway St

Thursday, July 25, 12pm-6pm, American Legion Field next to City Hall, 281 Broadway St

For the remaining weekdays in July, the E-Zpass Van will be located at the Market Basket in Chelsea.

In the coming days, E-ZPass hopes to visit Saugus and other communities. If you see the Van, please stop by or visit E-ZPass online.

MassDOT is encouraging motorists to join E-ZPass via the mobile E-ZPass registration vehicle following announced plans to implement All-Electronic Tolling on the Tobin Bridge.

Beginning early in 2014, motorists will no longer stop at a toll booth and pay cash for their Tobin Bridge toll. Tolls will be collected electronically through the E-ZPass transponder or via a program in which a camera captures the license plate and the vehicle’s registered owner is billed by mail.
