Methuen Rotary Relocated Route 110 113 Under I-93 August 2016MassDOT has announced that Route 110/113 traffic will be realigned to travel under the newly constructed I-93 bridge in Methuen on Saturday August 20, 2016.

The existing rotary will no longer be in use as of August 20, 2016.

Westbound traffic on Route 110/113 traveling to I-93 southbound will enter the I-93 southbound on-ramp through a temporary, signalized intersection on the west side of the new bridge. Traffic exiting I-93 northbound and traveling to the west will enter Route 110/113 through a temporary, signalized intersection at the base of the northbound off-ramp. Signage will be installed along the corridor and at the new ramps to direct traffic through the new Route 110/113 alignment.

Variable message signs will be positioned prior to the realignment to alert the public of the upcoming traffic change.

The realignment and ramp connections described above will allow construction of the remaining changes to the interchange ramp system to be completed.  Once that work is completed, the temporary traffic signals will be removed.

A map of the new traffic configuration in effect August 20 can be found on the Traffic Advisories page.

The schedule for this major infrastructure project is subject to change without notice.

The $66.4 million Methuen Rotary Reconstruction Project is replacing the existing rotary with a partial cloverleaf interchange to improve safety and reduce congestion.
