MBTA bus bike rack

Many MBTA buses are now equipped with front loading bike racks that make bringing your bike on your next trip easy!

These racks make it possible to combine a bus and a bike trip into one green and healthy trip.

You are welcome to test out our ‘Demonstration Bus/Bike Rack’ located on the 2nd level of the State Transportation Building at 10 Park Plaza in Boston.

MassDOT recognizes the importance of being able to combine transit and bicycling network connections to support mode shift consistent with the Commonwealth’s GreenDOT  and the Healthy Transportation Compact goals.
