MBTA New Locomotive, South Station, February 7, 2011Keolis Commuter Service announced that it will restore service on an additional 63 MBTA Commuter Rail trains, including 17 rush hour train trips, on Monday, March 23, with full service scheduled to be restored on or before March 30.

This marks the largest number of commuter trains restored to service since the recovery schedule was put in place after winter storms impacted the commuter rail fleet.

Keolis has now returned 87 percent of the normal train fleet back into service, with a total of 107 trips restored between March 16 and March 23. Extra trains will be put back into service wherever possible between now and March 30.
