The MBTA Fare and Service Changes approved by the MBTA Board to balance the fiscal year 2013 budget take effect on Sunday, July 1.
The final proposal approved by the Board followed more than two months of public meetings where 6,000 customers weighed in on proposals submitted to the board by MBTA staff in January.
