Turnpike

Motorists can sign up to receive a free FAST LANE transponder at the Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield on Wednesday, June 17, 2009 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.  The Hall of Fame is located at 100 West Columbus Avenue. 

The transponder will be ready for motorists to use the next day.

Since the MassPike's free transponder program began in mid-February, 118,076 transponders have been distributed. The transponder cost motorists $25.95 before the free program began earlier this year.
