Traffic Camera West WinterWith a winter storm expected to enter the state overnight through the day on Wednesday, MassDOT will be on alert as always with snow and ice crews in place to immediately respond as needed.

MassDOT has approximately 4,000 pieces of equipment available to treat and clear state roads in the event of a major winter storm.

As always, MassDOT urges everyone to check before traveling, drive safely and cautiously, and use public transportation where possible.

Due to the anticipated heavy snow service on the MBTA Mattapan Line will be suspended effective with the start of service on Wednesday, January 12. Substitute bus service will replace regular train service while snow removal activity takes place on the tracks and platforms. Visit the MBTA online  for the latest schedules and service advisories.
