The Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles (RMV) is announcing that applications for the 2021 Low Number Plate Lottery are now being accepted online at Mass.Gov/RMV using the Online Service Center. Applicants must apply by August 27, 2021, and, if selected for a low number plate, will be notified after the virtual drawing takes place on September 8, 2021.

Today, Lt. Governor Karyn Polito joined Acting Transportation Secretary and CEO Jamey Tesler and Highway Administrator Jonathan Gulliver in Dedham to announce the award of $6.5 million total to cities and towns which applied for funding from the Shared Streets and Spaces Grant Program. The program provides technical and funding assistance to help Massachusetts municipalities conceive, design, and implement changes to curbs, streets, plazas, and parking areas in support of public health, safe mobility, renewed commerce, and community betterment.

The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) is advising that all lanes on Interstate 93 southbound in Medford will be reopened when temporary repairs are made to the damaged area and the overpass is stabilized. MassDOT expects that all travel lanes on I-93 southbound will be fully reopened at some point on Wednesday, July 21. All lanes of travel continue to be open on I-93 northbound as they have been since the incident occurred.
