ConsumerGuides

The Massachusetts Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation publishes a variety of free pamphlets on subjects of interest to consumers. “Tenant Rights and Responsibilities” and “Landlord Rights and Responsibilities” are among the most popular. Text only versions of the tenant and landlord pamphlets are available.

Their “Lemon Aid Law”  pamphlet is available online; and the text only from other pamphlets related to the purchase and sale of motor vehicles , “New / Leased Lemon Law” , “Used Vehicle Warranty Law” and “Lemon Aid Law” , are also available.

Online access is to the text only in the pamphlets for  “the 30-day demand letter” , “A Massachusetts Consumer Guide to Home Improvement” , “A Massachusetts Consumers Guide to Shopping Rights” and “Small Claims Court” .

The text in the pamphlet “Managing Credit & Debt” has been updated, and it is also available online.

Our law library makes these pamphlets available in the Courthouse, and we distribute hundreds of copies every year. They are extremely popular. Through the internet, you can access the paperless versions.
