The Massachusetts Office on Disability (MOD) and the Human Resources Division (HRD) are partnering to host a second annual “Disability Mentoring Week (DMW),” a chance for people with disabilities to access and explore career development opportunities within state government. During DMW, mentees with disabilities are matched with workplace mentors according to expressed career interests. Mentees participate in a career exploration experience and make connections with mentors and other personnel. Employers gain increased awareness and understanding of how people with disabilities can be involved in their candidate recruitment processes.

The Massachusetts Office on Disability (MOD) and the Human Resources Division (HRD) are partnering to host “Disability Mentoring Week (DMW),” an opportunity for people with disabilities to explore career opportunities within Massachusetts state government. Each mentee will be paired with a state government professional working in the mentee’s field of interest.
The deadline for filing 2016 taxes is Tuesday, April 18th, 2017 for Massachusetts residents. MOD usually receives calls this time of year from individuals requesting information on obtaining assistance with preparing their taxes and also on deductions and credits that apply to persons with disabilities. This post aims to provide an overview of various supports and benefits available when it comes to filing income taxes.
