MassDOT as part of the GreenDOT sustainability policy is pleased to invite you to the 2015 Moving Together Conference! The conference is scheduled as follows:
Wednesday, November 4, 2015, 7:45 AM – 4:30 PM, Boston Park Plaza Hotel, 50 Park Plaza at Arlington, Boston
This year’s conference will provide participants with numerous opportunities:
• Attend workshops and panels that highlight current pedestrian, bicycle and public transportation topics such as: Vision Zero, Transportation and Economic Development, Hackathon Data Results
• Network with colleagues representing diverse interests from the public, academic and private sectors.
• All new site visits and mobile workshops led by engineers and bicycle/pedestrian advocates.
• Interactive training session for MassDOT’s Complete Streets Program.
A special Pre-Moving Together Conference after work walk and social hour event on Tuesday, November 3 at 5:00 pm has also been organized, sponsored by the Association of Pedestrian and Bicycle Professionals. Join your fellow active transportation professionals on an after work walk through the South End featuring MassDOT’s I-93 Underpass Infra Space Project.
The Moving Together Conference began in 1998 and has continued to grow. In 2014, more workshops than ever were offered along with the addition of site visits. Over 650 people attended the event, bringing together transportation leaders and individuals involved in the areas of planning, public health, bike and pedestrian safety, transit, advocacy, elected office, law enforcement and education.
GreenDOT is MassDOT’s comprehensive sustainability policy that promotes the healthy transportation modes of walking, bicycling and transit.
