Casey Arborway LogoAs part of our continuing outreach process, MassDOT will host an additional public meeting to provide the community with an update on the progress made on the Casey Arborway Project.   All residents, abutters, local business owners and interested commuters are welcome to attend.

Wednesday, July 20, 6:30pm-8:30pm, Boston English High School Auditorium, 144 McBride St., Jamaica Plain

Please note that this meeting will feature the same presentation as the June public meeting.

The purpose of this meeting will be to provide the community with an update on the progress made on the Casey Arborway Project since the first series of construction meetings prior to the Casey Overpass’ closure and removal in the spring of 2015.  The meeting will also focus on project’s next upcoming phase and general schedule of activities.  All residents, abutters, local business owners, and interested commuters are strongly encouraged to attend.

The project removed the existing structurally deficient Casey Overpass and is replacing it with a simplified at-grade reconstructed roadway network. A new fully accessible Orange Line access/egress headhouse will replace the existing substandard exit only headhouse. Bicycle and pedestrian accommodations will be enhanced throughout the project limits.  The project will result in the reconnection of the Arborway and Emerald Necklace Park from the Arnold Arboretum to Franklin Park.
