EzPass Chelsea Signup 3, July 2013MassDOT’s E-ZPass Van crew members are visiting local communities this summer, providing drivers the opportunity to sign up on the spot for a free E-ZPass transponder.

This week the E-ZPass Van is in Revere:

Tuesday, July 23, 12pm-6pm, American Legion Field next to City Hall, 281 Broadway St

Thursday, July 25, 12pm-6pm, American Legion Field next to City Hall, 281 Broadway St

For the remaining weekdays in July, the E-Zpass Van will be located at the Market Basket in Chelsea.

In the coming days, E-ZPass hopes to visit Saugus and other communities. If you see the Van, please stop by or visit E-ZPass online.

MassDOT is encouraging motorists to join E-ZPass via the mobile E-ZPass registration vehicle following announced plans to implement All-Electronic Tolling on the Tobin Bridge.

Beginning early in 2014, motorists will no longer stop at a toll booth and pay cash for their Tobin Bridge toll. Tolls will be collected electronically through the E-ZPass transponder or via a program in which a camera captures the license plate and the vehicle’s registered owner is billed by mail.

MassDOT, Boston Properties Highlight New Operational and Safety Improvements at Route 128/Interstate 95 Interchange Ramp and Roadways in Waltham

The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) in conjunction with Boston Properties (NYSE: BXP) is pleased to announce that new operational and safety improvement modifications have been implemented at the Route 128/Interstate 95 Interchange 43A (Old Exit 27A)/Third Avenue ramp in Waltham. The purpose of this transportation improvement project was to redesign this heavily traveled interchanges and the immediately surrounding area to improve existing traffic flow operations, to enhance safety for motorists, pedestrians, and bicyclists, and to provide improved access for the future mixed-use development of up to 1.85 million square feet located within the adjacent CityPoint and 1265 Main developments.
