nantucket-new-path-2-november-2017MassDOT Highway Division District 5 has announced that the multi-use pedestrian and bicycle path project, from Washington Street to Orange Street, on Nantucket is now complete.

The path was constructed along an abandoned railroad berm between Goose Pond and Nantucket Harbor.

The $2.4 million project includes improvements to Goose Pond Lane, a gravel-surfaced public way, and sidewalk improvements and shoulder widening along Orange Street.
